Q. Are there any changes from the current ETF creation/redemption platform?
A. The changes are summarized below.
New features
- Application to approval operation via API: The operation via API is available for AP and MM. Please refer to the API Specification for details.
- Information acquisition via API: AP and MM can acquire various types of information via API. Please refer to the API Specification for details.
- Addition of cancellation request flow: AP(prop-desk) and MM can request cancellation of applications.
- Reference and acquisition of the Issue Master: Enables file output and reference on screen of Issue Master.
Change of application method
- Application operation to AP by MM on CredNex: Commonization of application flow between MM and AP.
- Discontinuation of CSV batch registration: Discontinued batch registration of applications using batch registration files; CredNex newly enables application registration using API.
Changes in workflow (see status definition document for details)
- Abolition of secondary approval in AP, AM, and TB.
- Newly established statement return by TB; eliminated statement withdrawal operation from AM
- Expansion of automatic approval function for AM
Revamped status definitions and email notifications (see status definition document for details)
- Revamped status definitions: Revamped status definitions due to workflow changes.
- Revamped email notifications: Notification emails are sent only when actions such as approval are required.
Changes in input files (see each file design document for details)
- Common to all files
- Changed character code to “UTF-8 or UTF-8 with BOM”: files can be input with UTF-8 BOM
- Blackout dates
- Enabled overwrite registration: Definition of processing category = 1 changed from “Add new” to “Register”. Enabled normal registration even if the registration file contains already registered dates
- Issue master file
- Time that can be specified in the application time limit is only between 7:30 and 17:00 (added on June 10, 2025)

Changes in output files (see each file design document for details)

- Change file name
- Changed character code to “UTF-8 with BOM”: Can be viewed without garbled characters in Excel
- Blackout dates
- Elimination of classification “3: Both setting and exchange”: When AM registers “3: Both creation/redemption” in the input file, two records of “1: Creation” and “2: Redemption” are registered respectively on CredNex, and two records are output as output files
- Application file
- Change in item definition of item “Status” (change of the name of status and described only in English)
- Item “User ID” is changed to blank.
Item “Approximate number of units” is changed to blank for cash ETFs(deleted on July 15, 2025)
- Statement file (cash ETFs)
- Changed the folder structure of the calculation sheet zip file
Changing permissions (for details, refer to the operation manual)
- Changing permissions for each role: For details, refer to Chapter 12 “Permissions” in the Operation Manual.
Q. What features will be released in CredNex in the future?
A. Please refer to the Release Notes page.
Q. Will there be any changes to file formats in the future?
A. It is assumed that there will be basically no changes to the application file, the statement file, and the blackout dates files. As for the issue master file, there is a high possibility that the layout will be changed due to the expansion of the automatic approval function, etc.
